That's it I'm pissed now!
I have been waiting for the quarterly earning for the major gas companies. Guess what Exxon has released? (Click >>Here<< to read the story in the Seattle Times) They made 10 BILLION bucks in profit, but that's not the kicker... Hold on to your hat. They made 100 BILLION in revenue. Now what does this mean? It means that Exxon made a ton of cash selling us gas at 3 bucks a gallon and has put(hid) the money back into the company, hmmm new jets for the executives along with A nice raise for everyone.
Now gas companies have been saying that they need to get a bunch of cash together to build new refineries, why? The last time a new refinery was built was 1976.
1976 !? Why so long?
Supply and demand. They make too much gas, the profits go down. So lets keep these crappy old inefficient ones around and make tons of $$$.
That's it, Ma get da shotgun. We're going huntin. Going to get us some executives
Mike
PS. Almost forgot to put a new mashup... Well this is really a remix, but if your mad , in a hurry or just plain frustrated >>lil' John and Ozzy<< gets me straight

Nite out Supper with the boys
After a long day of Cisco testing, speech stuff, body work on the Xterra and a vikking funeral for the old lawn mower there is nothing like having a few beers with the boys(just a few, had to be good the local "bears" were out in force).
Not much happend, David was being stalked by some homeless guy, the table next to us was enjoying Neal's singing and I think Travis is in the dog house with his girl friend *cough*she'scrazy*cough*.
Oh yeah almost forgot, crappy service and lemon beer/ brew sucks.

Damn, I love the fall in the south
Man, I love this weather. I have been looking for every excuse to stay outside. I spent most of yesterday cleaning up the old Xterra (that thing is trashed) and today we took my father in-law's horse Maude n buggy for a spin. Nikki and Beth (my brother in-laws wife) have been thinking of taking Maude and the buggy in winter parade which will be a nice contrast to the 4 wheelers and riding lawnmowers.
Next week I think might be my biannual burn a ton of dead trees weekend, well that and get the wood split and put up for winter. So if you see a big cloud of smoke coming from Mckaig RD, just remember Mike is in a pyromanic nirvana.
This weeks Mashup is not the usually thing I go for, but I liked the beat.
Never Win (Got To Have Your Love)
now go outside and play

New and improved
It was about that time, time to kill the old layout. So lately I had been working on improving my CSS skills so I thought that making a blog with NO tables would be a good challenge.
Mike, your last layout had no tables
True but it also didn't center when the resolution was changed.
Ummm Mike, it looks the same.
Hit refresh, I took out the no cache tag, it didn't really work that well anyway.
I also Killed chatterbox... I had to, it was giving me a case of the pop-ups and slow load times. When I get a chance I'll try to find a script that I can run on my own server to replace it.
I still have to find A font/color combination that works, but after a few nights of playing with CSS I'm spent.
And finally this weeks mashup, This little ditty I found on gyro

My love is leaving me
Yes, it is true she is leaving and I might never get to see her ever again. I remember the first time I met her, how could I forget... just one look and I knew I had to have her and while we were together she never let me down, but everything that has a beginning has an ending.
All I have left to do is just to pick myself up, dust myself off and find another. Oh yeah I have my eye on another, she is a little bit younger, little bit faster.....
but Damn,
I'm still going to miss that truck

Catchin up
Well after my little trip back from SLC I figured I better blog the highlights.
day one: I pretty much traveled all day via standby(free tickets) and went surprisingly well got to Salt lake and stop by a pub for some anti-jet lag meds.
day two: hung out with Sis and Bro (inlaw) till bro had to go to work then me and sis went to the... Brewvies.
If the whole IT thing don't work out, maybe I'll try to open one of these in Chattanooga. Brewvies is a pub/movie theater, so what's the big deal? Great Beer, good food and a Cheap movies(2nd run stuff)= a great time plus you don't have to sneek booze in, just go to the bar.
day 3: we all started the day off with grandpa, I could have stayed the whole day and heard about the crazy stuff sis and I used to do, but Ty (bro) had a tennis match so we had to cut it short. After the match we dropped Ty off at work and went to Park city for a little food fun and shopping. When Ty got off of work we went to the Mall to see a movie and go to a Sushi place. Well we missed the movie, but not the sushi(which was pretty damn good for a place in the mall).
day 4: Octoberfest in Snowbird(xtreme ski resort). Well all I can say is if you have ever been to an "Octoberfest" you been to em' all. The only difference here is we could drink a bunch then either climb a wall(20 stories), ride a "zip line", Alpine slides and tram up to the summit. Which we opted for the last two, oh BTW you can go too fast on those things(alpine slides) and Crash and burn.
last day: flying on standby... I know, free ticket, no bitching.
This last Thursday I got to tag-along on a "girl's night out" which sorry guys, girl's night mucho mas fun-er... Ouch, the next day though(but, still worth it).
Brost! (cheers)
